A physical symbol of UTC's commitment to the nontraditional student is the Adult Services Center. The center streamlines many of the campus services for adult students. Students are classified as adult students if they are at least 25 years of age, are married and working full-time, or have completed their first bachelors degree.
Adults may conveniently process most admission, advisement, registration and fee payment procedures in the center. They can also purchase general parking decals. Other fees such as parking violations, transcript fees, admission application fees, and other holds which may hamper a student's admission and registration processes can also be paid. RAP sheets (Report of Academic Progress) can be generated and interpreted and adult students can be counseled with academic problems or referred to the Counseling and Career Planning office for more in-depth counseling. Additionally, students pursuing second bachelors degrees can apply for admission and get their transcripts evaluated for enrollment purposes.
Adult students can also come into the center and sign-up for a mentor, pick up various forms, get their SID (Secure ID) number, or sign up for tutoring. No matter what the need, the Adult Services Center is a great place to start!
