As part of a Million Dollar renovation/ beautification grant in conjunction with the city river walk, Heritage plaza was created. Located in the apex of activity for the campus, Heritage Plaza pay's tribute to the path the University has taken form inception to present day. Four Medallion in a circle form a walk through time as the University has grown.

Heritage Plaza is wide open area in between the Library and University Center on what was Vine Street. Concrete walks surround a gray brick paver center with iron tables and benches near by. Trees and planters help enclose the space for weddings or meeting friends after class.
