“Greg Smith” is a label attached to a particular group
of sensory data that is simultaneously a collector and interpreter of sensory
impressions. Currently this collector and interpreter is pondering possible
topics for an undergraduate philosophy paper, among other things.
For no readily discernable reason this pondering collector and interpreter
of sensory phenomena is drawn to turn its receptors to the comedy of Monty
Python, the philosophy of Thomas Hobbes, and late twentieth century deconstructionist
fiction. Often “he” can be found wandering aimlessly around campus, perhaps
in search of transcendent truth or maybe just a good place to lounge in
the shade.
