UTC NEWS RELEASE Ralph Anderson Chosen for Obear Professorship at UTC The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga has announced that Ralph Anderson, professor, human services management, was chosen as the first recipient of the Patricia Draper Obear Distinguished Teaching Professorship, an action approved by the University of Tennessee Foundation. The professorship was established with memorial gifts given by friends and family in honor of the wife of the 13th chief executive officer of UTC, Chancellor Frederick W. Obear. Mrs. Obear was a community volunteer who had a particular interest in social service and early childhood education, the areas given preference in the awarding of this professorship.
