Upcoming Events for Spring 2004…Welcome
Back!
UTC Spring semester classes begin Monday, January 5. The last day to
register for day or evening classes, to add a subject, or to change
sections is Friday, January 9.
The addition of classes with departmental approval only, no new registrations
continues through Friday, January 16, also the last day to drop a class
before a W (withdrawal) is recorded.
Looking ahead:
Monday, January 19 the University will close in honor of the Martin
Luther King holiday.
Students, faculty, staff and the general public are invited to mark their
calendars for PERSPECTIVES 2004 The Raymond B. Witt Lecture Series. This
year’s topic will be America and the New World Order. All events
will be free and held in the UTC University Center. Look for upcoming
details on this website. Daytime lectures will be held from Tuesday,
January 20-Thursday, January 22. A UTC faculty and student panel discussion
will be held Friday, January 23.
Another special campus event on Monday, January 26 will feature writer
and theologian Dr. Frederick Buechner, who will speak during an evening
dedicated to the memory of the late UTC Guerry professor of English George
Connor. This free program will be held at 7:30 p.m. at the Dorothy Hackett
Ward Theater. Details of Buechner’s visit will be announced soon
on this website.
