Preparation Begins for Phase III of UTC Place

Demolition continues at the corner of McCallie and Baldwin, making way for construction of Phase III of UTC Place Apartments, student housing on campus. Across Baldwin, the stained glass windows were removed from the building which formerly housed the New Monumental Baptist Church, also scheduled for demolition to accommodate the new apartments. Phase I and Phase II of UTC Place houses 1,000 students; when Phase III is complete, there will be room for an additional 560 students.

Place Properties, developer of UTC Place, recently received recognition from College Planning and Management for Excellence in Design and Architecture for UTC Place.
