Beta Alpha Psi Officers Combine Business with Pleasure

Hazlett Lewis & Bieter PLLC Certified Public Accountants and Business Advisors recently sponsored a trip for UTC Beta Alpha Psi (BAP) officers to attend their annual meeting of the national accounting, finance, and information systems fraternity. Those fortunate students traveled to Honolulu, Hawaii, for the BAP meeting, hosted by The Delta Theta Chapter of the University of Hawaii at Manoa.

“Thanks to our sponsor, Hazlett, Lewis, & Bieter, four officers from UTC's chapter of Beta Alpha Psi attended the meeting. Treasurer Laura Ch'ien and I benefited greatly from attending the workshops to help improve UTC's chapter, and we enjoyed listening to keynote speaker Joseph Berardino, former CEO of Andersen Worldwide, who is a great motivational speaker,” according to Elizabeth Luckey, President of the UTC Chapter of BAP.

Community work and sightseeing were also on the students’ agenda, according to Luckey.

“UTC officers also participated in a community service project to clean up a Waikiki beach, resulting in six large garbage bags full of refuse. The officers benefited from the professional meetings and workshops scheduled from the morning to afternoon and, thanks to organizational skills honed through UTC's accounting and finance programs, were able to take in quite a bit of beautiful Oahu and Honolulu as well during our busy stay,” Luckey said.
