Halstead to Address UTC December Graduates

Dr. Diane Halstead, the Alan S. Lorberbaum Associate Professor of Marketing and Mary Harris Distinguished Professor of Entrepreneurship at UTC, will serve as the UTC December commencement speaker on Sunday, December 15, at 2 p.m. in McKenzie Arena.

Approximately 450 students are eligible to receive degrees from UTC at the December commencement.

During her tenure at UTC, Halstead has served as the marketing consultant for several area businesses, providing market research and marketing consulting services for Blue Cross/Blue Shield of Tennessee, TVA, UNUMProvident, EPB and Johnson Group.
Halstead is currently working as research partner with the Chattanooga Area Convention and Visitors Bureau to develop and implement annual brand image research and a conversion study for the leisure tourism market in Chattanooga.

Halstead started her UTC career as Assistant Professor in 1996, and then was promoted to Associate Professor and W. Max Finley Centennial Scholar in 1997, and UC Foundation Professor in 1998.
