WDSI Fox 61 and UTC TV Partnerships

UTC activities will be in the TV spotlight this weekend through partnerships with WDSI Fox 61.

“In the City” and “MetroCampus” premiere new episodes on Fox 61. WDSI Fox 61 is carried on Channel 11 of Chattanooga Comcast Cable.

“We are very grateful for our partnership with WDSI and Comcast. Television remains the dominant medium for mass communication, and these relationships allow us access beyond what we could otherwise do. We get to spread the good word about UTC activities and the companies get access to quality programming, so it's a win-win situation,” said Chuck Cantrell, assistant vice chancellor for university relations.

“In the City,” the quarterly magazine program produced by Missy Crutchfield, features campus influence on the arts and culture in our community. The program airs Thursday, June 10th at 10:30 p.m.

“MetroCampus,” the monthly public affairs program produced by Cantrell, highlights campus programs and activities. This month’s installment features the UTC College of Business Administration. The program airs at 11 a.m. on Sunday, June 6.

The programs are rebroadcast throughout the month on Comcast Cable Channel 3 Education and Government Channel during UTC TV programming, coordinated by the UTC Video Production Studio.

In addition to “MetroCampus” and “In the City,” UTC programming includes student-produced newscasts, news updates and community programs.
