UTC seminar addresses the Chinese MarketThe World Trade Society of Chattanooga (WTSC), the Chattanooga Area Chamber of Commerce and the UTC College of Business Administration are sponsoring the China Business and Trade Seminar. The event will be held at UTC in Fletcher Hall, Room 114 June 17 from 9 a.m. - Noon. The seminar is the second installment of a four seminar series created by the WTSC. The seminar will focus on how a U.S. business can enter the Chinese market, open an office in China, conduct business transactions in China, produce products in China, and export products out of China. Yang received his JD degree (with honors) from Duke University Law School. He is qualified in both the People's Republic of China and Illinois. Yang started his practice in 1995 at a Beijing law firm and dealt with international trade and foreign direct investment matters. His practice covers corporate financing, foreign direct investment in China, venture capital and dispute resolutions. Yu joined SunTrust in October of 1999 and managed the bank's foreign bank relationships until April of this year. He has 22 years of banking experience--international lending, correspondent banking, import/export financing, structure finance, global cash management, and investments and securities. Yu is a graduate of the University of Michigan and the University of Detroit.
