Golf tournament benefits Battle Academy

The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga, TVA's Fossil Power Group Partner in Education Program and Battle Academy for Teaching and Learning sponsored the first Golf Classic at Brown Acres Golf Course, where $12,600 was raised for instruments, materials, and books to enhance the Battle Academy science lab.

“Battle Academy is TVA's Fossil Power Group's Partner in Education,” according to Charley Spencer of TVA. “We want to thank UTC for all the help and assistance in making the golf tournament a success, giving added support to Battle Academy.”

Flush with the success of this year’s tournament, UTC has agreed to partner with TVA again in May, 2005 to sponsor another golf tournament to benefit Battle Academy, according to Spencer.
