Dr. Jocelyn Sanders, Head of the UTC Department of Music, has agreed to serve as Acting Associate Provost for Academic Affairs, according to Provost John Friedl.

"The position was left vacant when Dr. Jane Harbaugh retired. We were unable to fill the position before it was frozen, along with many other faculty and administrative positions, earlier this year. Filling this position on a temporary basis will allow us to move forward with many of the initiatives contained in the Strategic Plan for Academic Affairs. Jocelyn will begin her duties on July 1," Friedl said.

In Sanders absence, Dr. Lee Harris has agreed to serve as Acting Head of the Music Department.

Michael Bell has agreed to serve as Acting Dean of the Lupton Library, beginning his duties on June 1. He temporarily replaces Dr. Sheila Delacroix, who has decided to relinquish the position of dean and return to her faculty position at the library.

Lisa Pinckney Flint has been promoted to Director of External Affairs in The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga’s College of Business. She most recently served as the UTC Director of Graduate Business Programs.

In her new gift-funded position, Flint will focus primarily on alumni relations and building an alumni organization for the College of Business. She will also assist in developing the College's communication efforts.
