Schuetze to Present Keynote Address for UTC Accounting
Lecture Series
Walter Schuetze will present Auditing: Objective Evidence vs. Subjective
Judgements Thursday, November 13 at 11:40 a.m., at the Chattanooga
Trade and Convention Center for the 30th annual UTC Accounting Lecture
Series.
Schuetze was a partner at KPMG, a charter member of the Financial Accounting
Standards Board, chief accountant at the Securities and Exchange Commission,
chief accountant of the commission’s division of enforcement, and
a member and chair of the Accounting Standards Executive Committee of
the AICPA. He currently serves on the board and audit committee of several
large corporations.
Approximately 250 accountants and business executives have attended the
Accounting Lecture each year. The Series is planned to bring to the UTC
College of Business Administration and to the community outstanding individuals
in the areas of accounting and auditing, and at the same time provide
a basis for the enrichment of and mutual cooperation between participating
groups.
