UTC United Way Campaign Goes Over the Top
Faculty, staff and students combined efforts to beat the 2000 United Way Campaign Goal of $70,000, and the total amount contributed stands at $81,500. In a year when other local businesses are struggling to reach their United Way goal, this year's campus effort has broken all previous UTC United Way Campaign records.
In 1999, $62,588 was raised.
The first United Way Rummage Sale was held this year, and netted $2500 for the effort. Students participated in the campaign for the first time, contributing change at the UTC University Center.
