Perspectives 2008: The Raymond B. Witt Lecture Series presents: Whose America Is it?
Dr. David Engstrom, Associate Professor, Social Work, San Diego State University will speak Wednesday, January 30, at 3 p.m. in the UTC University Center. Engstrom’s research interests focus on immigration policy and services to immigrants and refugees. David Lubell, Founder and Director of Tennessee Immigrant Refugee Rights Coalition, will speak Thursday, January 31, 12:15pm in the UTC University Center. These events are free and open to the public.

George Hunter Lecture Series continues with Frank McCourt, the Pulitzer Prize winning author of Angela’s Ashes.
He will speak on education and arts and culture at 7 p.m. in the Roland Hayes Concert Hall, UTC Fine Arts Center. This event is free and open to the public.

Athletics Hall of Fame Dinner
Outstanding University of Chattanooga and University of Tennessee at Chattanooga athletes are annually inducted into the UTC Athletics Hall of Fame. The 2007 inductees will be recognized at a dinner hosted by the UTC Athletics Department and the Office of Alumni Affairs at the Chattanooga Golf & Country Club. The public is invited; reservations are required.

Hosted by the UTC alumni office and bookstore, seniors receive information about alumni programming, benefits for alumni, and information regarding job placement and graduate school. The official class ring, graduation invitations, and commencement gowns may be ordered at this event.
