UHON Council

The UHON Council is a registered UTC student organization made up of 17 student members, with four representatives elected by each UHON class level plus one associate representative. One or two alternates are also chosen from each class in case one of the elected representatives becomes unable to serve. Elections take place during the first general UHON meeting of the fall term.

The Council functions as the governing body for UHON student activities and as liaison between the student body and the UHON faculty and staff. The work of the council is organized through seven committees, each of which is chaired by one or two UHON council members. The balance of committee membership is drawn from the UHON student body. All UHON students are required to serve on at least one of the committees each year.
