The Basics
The Student Technology Center offers a total of 71 computers, including 9 Apple Macs. Each machine is equipped with a CD or DVD burner.
The lab has a collection of computer applications suitable for a wide range of academic work, including, but not limited to:

Copying and Printing
The Student Technology Center is equipped with a copier, as well as color and black-and-white printers. To use these machines, patrons must have a valid Mocs card, as well as an adequate balance on the card. Black and white print jobs cost 7 cents a page, while color copies cost 15 cents a page. Ten dollars of print credit is automatically added to Mocs cards at the beginning of each semester. Additional funds may be added at the kiosk on the second floor of the UC or in the library.
Video and Photo Editing
Each of the 10 Macs is equipped with software for video and photo editing, such as the Adobe Creative Suite and iMovie. In addition to iMovie, the 24" Mac has Final Cut Express. The 24" Mac is also equipped with a scanner which can be used to import physical media for editing. Users can then export their edited media to DVDs or other sources, such as flash drives.

Plasma Smart-Screen Television
The lab also contains a 52-inch plasma smart-screen television and computer screen, located next to the front desk. The smart-screen is touch sensitive, which allows users to easily interact directly with the material on the screen, as well as digitally write on the screen itself. This makes the plasma smart-screen television ideal for collaborative group projects.
Computer Classroom
The Student Technology Center has a room of 30 computers that can be reserved for teaching classes, training, or by organizations. For more information on booking the classroom, see Classroom Reservation.
