Prescription Refills
- Call for refills two business days before you run out of medicine. Refill requests phoned in before noon will usually be called or faxed to your pharmacy by 5:30 PM the same business day. Requests phoned in after noon can usually be phoned or faxed to your pharmacy by the close of the next business day.
- Since the providers may not be available for review of the request, some prescriptions may take longer to be phoned or faxed to your pharmacy.
- Depending on the volume of calls on any given day, you may not receive a call notifying you that your prescription has been called in. You should check with your pharmacy after 5:30 PM to see if they have received your prescription request. Refill request called after noon on Friday may not be called or faxed until Monday! Please do not wait until the last minute to request refills.
- Have your pharmacy name and phone number available when calling in for refills. We will also need the name of your medication, your current dosage and approximately how many doses you have remaining. If you are unsure of the pronunciation of the medication, be prepared to spell it.
- We strongly encourage you to ask your provider for any needed refills during your regular appointments. This will save everyone time and delays.
- On your first visit, we ask that you bring all medications with you to your visit.
