The Division of Student Development, in keeping with the mission of the institution, seeks to support University efforts in the total education and development of students through the enlightening and disciplining of their minds and their preparation for full and action participation in civic, cultural, and professional life. Student Development strives to create, direct, coordinate, and support programs which prove for the total educational and developmental needs of an increasingly diverse student and community populations. The Division of Student Development supports the academic mission of the University by preparing students to assume roles of leadership, involvement, and service at UTC and in the community.
The departments within Student Development include Admissions, Counseling and Career Planning, Dean of Students, Placement Office, Campus Recreation/Intramurals, Office of Students with Disabilities, University Center, Student Success Center, Women’s Center, Health Center, and Multicultural Affairs. In each of these departments you will find a dedicated staff of professionals who are committed to helping students succeed both inside and outside of the classroom.
