A record 7,100 employees across the state participated in the UT Employee Engagement Survey back in November 2011. Here at UTC, 684 of us, that’s 62 percent, took the time to share feedback on topics ranging from compensation and performance evaluations to campus culture and work conditions.

From the beginning, we promised that we would not only share the results of this survey but also develop steps to address areas that were identified as opportunities as well as strengthen what the results say we are already doing well.

In April 2012, representatives from the UT system and our survey partner ModernThink presented in several open forms an overview of the survey, its methodology, and a broad presentation of results specific to our campus.
A video of one of these forums is available at

The presentation that highlights the initial analysis of our survey results is made available below for your review. We will be posting additional information as it becomes available.

Employee Engagement Survey Presentation

Over the summer and probably even more in earnest next fall, we will dig deeply into these survey results to identify those things we do well and those areas where we have room for improvement. Then, working together, we will come up with strategies to improve, progress, and achieve.
