The UTC Office of Scholarships would like to extend our thanks for your interest in applying for and acquiring scholarships. UTC scholarship funds are limited and the awarding process is competitive. Meeting the eligibility requirements does NOT guarantee a student will receive a scholarship. The best way to improve your candidacy is to always submit all required materials as soon as possible.
UTC Online Scholarship Application
The 2012-2013 online UTC Scholarship Application closed March 1st for First-Time Freshman and Continuing UTC students only. Students can review their answers by logging in to their MyMocsNet, choosing the MoneyTab, then referring to the Scholarships Section.
New Transfer students for Fall 2012 can still apply until July 1st, HOWEVER, we ask that you APPLY EARLY as funds ARE limited. You can review our How To Apply link for quick instructions on accessing the application. Please keep in mind that scholarships are very competitive and funds are limited, so again please APPLY EARLY. Also, be sure the information you include in your application is accurate. In addition, don’t forget to complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) online as this provides much needed information as well. The FAFSA is also your application for the Tennessee Lottery HOPE Scholarship.
Types of Scholarships
Institutional Scholarships
These awards are funded by UTC and other sources. The major awards include the Chancellor's Scholarship, Provost's Scholarship, Mocs Scholarship, Chattanooga Yes! and Transfer Scholarship. These awards are reserved for new students.
Endowed Scholarships
These awards are generously provided to our students through outside donors. There are many scholarships available to students based on various criteria, but not limited to, financial needs, major, grade point average, community or campus based activities, and student classification.
Departmental Scholarships
The different departments on campus have various scholarships they award throughout the year. We have provided a list and brief description of those departmental scholarships through the database, including contact information for each respective department.
