Task Forces

Leadership Committee
Role/Duties: Manage and validate the internal institutional assessment with core requirements and comprehensive standards. Coordinate and manage timeline and organizational structure for timely completion. Attend SACS orientation. Oversee institutional review and the documentation of evidence supporting compliance. Develop focused report. Oversee the development of the QEP. Ensure that the institutional community is engaged in the review process and informed of the progress of the review. Oversee arrangements for the on-site visit. Ensure that follow-up activities are in place to address any compliance issues and to monitor the progress of the QEP.

Steering Committee
Role/Duties: Oversee all task force work and report to the Leadership Committee. Manage the reports and coordinate the writing/editing of the report within the timeline. Organize all institutional documentation of evidence. Keep Leadership Team informed.

Compliance Certification
Role/Duties: Oversee the development and writing of the focused report, collect documentation of evidence for the compliance certification form.

QEP (Quality Enhancement Plan) Group
Role/Duties: Facilitate input for UTC’s Quality Enhancement Plan; write, review QEP and submit to Steering Committee. Build a consensus from the campus community for the area of focus for the QEP. Build broad-based institutional participation in the identification of the topic or issue to be addressed by the QEP. Review best practices related to the topic or issue to be addressed. Develop a clear timeline and implementation plan. Design an evaluation plan for goals outlined in the QEP. Keep the Steering Committee informed.

Logistics & Support
Role/Duties: Arrange logistics (schedules, etc.) for all SACS visits (off-campus & on-campus), design and develop web site for SACS committees.
