3.5.2 Institutional credits for a degree
At least 25 percent of the credit hours required for the degree are earned through instruction offered by the institution awarding the degree. In the case of undergraduate degree programs offered through joint, cooperative, or consortia arrangements, the student earns 25 percent of the credits required for the degree through instruction offered by the participating institutions.

The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga (UTC) Undergraduate Catalog states that a student must complete at least 25 percent of the minimum credit hours for each degree program under the direction of UTC faculty. The Records Office uses a program check sheet to verify this requirement is met by each student.
Graduate School academic regulations require that more than half of all coursework in a graduate students’ program must be taken for graduate credit at UTC. The Graduate School uses an “Application for Admission to Candidacy for the Degree” to verify this requirement is met by each student. Completed forms are retained in the Graduate School office.Documentation:
