3.10.2 Submission of financial statements
The institution provides financial profile information on an annual basis and other measures of financial health as requested by the Commission. All information is presented accurately and appropriately and represents the total operation of the institution.

Narrative:
The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga (UTC) Office of Planning Evaluation and Institutional Research (OPEIR) prepares an annual Financial Profile based on financial information provided by the UT Controller’s office consistent with the institution’s audited financial statements. The 2010 Financial Profile was submitted in July 2010 as required by SACS. The 2009 Financial Profile, the 2008 Financial Profile, and the 2007 Financial Profile were submitted as required, and no further information has been requested.
The Financial Profile is submitted to the Vice Chancellor for Finance, Operations and IT for review and signature and then submitted to the Chancellor for signature. The financial information reported to the Federal Government in the related annual IPEDS reports is submitted to the Commission along with the Financial Profile. The Institutional Profile report for General and Enrollment Management is prepared by OPEIR and is submitted to the Associate Provost for Academic Affairs (Accreditation Liaison) for review and signature and then to the Chancellor for signature.
The UT Treasurer’s office web site shows the consolidated financial statements in the University of Tennessee’s Treasurer’s 2009 report which includes the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga.
Budget information for UTC is included among the documents found on UT Budget Office website. The UTC budget is prepared by the Vice Chancellor for Finance and Operations and is approved by the Chancellor. Instructions for preparation of the 2008-2009 Budget, Base Budget Reductions for 2009-2010, and Application of Reduced Resources FY 2009 documents are available on the Business and Financial Affairs web page, as are numerous documents used in that process.
