Miller Analogies Test
GENERAL INFORMATION The Miller Analogies Test (MAT) is a 60-minute test consisting of 120 analogies. Students applying for admission to master's degree programs may be required to submit MAT scores.
On test day, a total of one and one-half hours will be required for exam administration and the registration process. The exam fee is $80, payable by check to UTC (non-refundable).
TEST DATES: The MAT will be administered by appointment only on Friday afternoons at 3:00 in Hooper Hall Room 205. (click HERE for campus map).
DIRECTIONS FOR PRE-REGISTRATION:
1. Completely fill out the registration form. (Click HERE for registration form)
2. Mail the registration form and a non-refundable check payable to UTC in the amount of $80 to the address on the form. Once your registration form and non-refundable fee are received, you will receive a phone call or email to schedule a test date. Once a test date is scheduled, a receipt confirmation and driving directions will be sent to you by return mail. This receipt is your proof of registration. Please remember to bring it with you on test date. If you need to reschedule for any reason, including arriving too late for your scheduled test or arriving without ID, you must pay a $20 rescheduling fee.
3. You must have the following items with you on test day:
- payment receipt
- picture identification
- retest ticket (if you have taken the MAT within the last year --this is a must; without it, you will not be permitted to test!)
TEST RESULTS: At the completion of your exam, you will receive a printable tentative score; please note this is NOT your official score. An official score will be mailed to your home address and to the school(s) selected to receive score reports in approximately three to four weeks after the test administration.
