Desk in an OfficeThank you for your interest in UTC! We are here to assist you identify UTC students and alumni to meet your employment needs. Our goal is to help you effectively recruit our students for full-time and part-time opportunities.

The Placement & Student Employment Center, Located in Room 315 University Center, is a free year round job resource center for undergraduates, graduate students and alumni of UTC. A wide variety of services are available, including career fairs, resume workshops, interview skills video tapes, job search seminars, and individual employment counseling.

Through career fairs, job postings, on-campus recruitment and employer information sessions, the Placement Center will assist you identify current students and registered alumni. With the exception of career fairs, there is no charge for these services.

We are excited to work with you and are happy to answer any questions you may have concerning our services for you and for our students. Below are the services we offer you as an employer:

eRecruiting...

Employers (excluding third party recruiters) who have access to the World Wide Web can view resumes and post degree required jobs on eRecruiting, a searchable format database developed by Experience eRecruiting. The database is not open to third party recruiters. First time users must establish an account with eRecruiting to link to the UTC database.  To create a first-time Employer Account, click HERE. Job Postings...

Only full-time degree required jobs are posted on eRecruiting. Part-time/temporary and full-time non-degree required jobs are posted on the Placement Web Page at job postings and on the Jobs Board in the Placement Center. To post a non-degree full-time or part-time job on the Web Page and Jobs Board, send a brief description, describing job responsibilities, requirements and method of contact by e-mail, by FAX to (423) 425-4079, or call (423) 425-4184.

To post a full-time degree required job on eRecruiting, first time users must establish an account with eRecruiting to link to the UTC database.  To create a first-time Employer Account, click HERE. Employers already registered with eRecruiting, logon HERE.

Resume Reviews...

The UTC eRecruiting database contains three web resume books containing resumes of undergraduate students, graduate students and alumni registered with the Placement Center. Employers may review resumes in one or all of the resume books. A keyword search box is included for a quick search, or "More Search Options" is provided for an advanced search. The database is not open to third party recruiters.

On-campus recruiting...

UTC invites employers to interview students on campus during the months of October through April. An on-campus recruitment date can be arranged by call or e-mail to the Placement Center. When a date is chosen, a member of the staff will contact the employer to confirm scheduling details, e.g., job posting, number and length of interview sessions, etc.

Copies of resumes and credential files will be provided to the recruiter on the day of the on-campus interviews. Employers who wish to pre-screen student resumes prior to the on-campus recruitment date may request copies of resumes from the Placement Center, or review resumes on the Experience eRecruiting database.

Career Fairs...

Placement and Student Employment conducts one major career fair each year and other special career fairs as needed by UTC departments or employers. For Career Fair dates, click HERE . Career fairs bring students and graduates in contact with employers, and highly recommended for students and employers. To obtain information and/or schedule participation in a UTC career fair, call (423-425-4184) or e-mail the Placement Center .
