Freshman Orientation
Congratulations on your decision to attend The University of
Tennessee at Chattanooga! “Flight School,” Chattanooga’s Orientation program is designed not only to prepare you for academic success at the University, but will also familiarize you with its many resources as well as the spirit, colors, and tradition that make Chattanooga so unique. With so many opportunities to choose from the only question is... Where will you leave you mark?
To reserve your spot, click the "Register Now" button below and create a new account. Please remember, Orientation is mandatory for all students entering during the fall/spring and your spot is not confirmed until you have paid the Orientation Fee. Once registered, please take some time to read below more the session you will be attending.

Freshman Pre-Orientation Guide
These guide books have been prepared to help take the stress out of coming to Orientation. Prepare yourself for your upcoming Orientation session by taking a moment to review our Freshman Pre-Orientation Guide.

Cost
The fee for Freshman Orientation is $95 per student and $50 per optional parent/guest. Once fee payment is received, each student's attendance will be confirmed by email.
Refund requests for orientation must be made by June 1, 2013. There is a $10 refund fee. No refunds will be given for students or guests after June 1.
*Orientation fees cover food and refreshments, staffing, facility/equipment rentals, paperwork, packaging, etc.
Lodging
Students are housed on campus during each Orientation session. These apartment style residence halls feature a kitchen and two bathrooms shared between four individual rooms. Students will need to bring a pillow and sheets or a sleeping bag, as linens will not be provided.
Overnight accommodations in residence halls are not provided for parents/guests during orientation. Please refer to our list of hotels close to campus.
Meals
The Student and Parent/Guest fee provides light refreshments (during check-in) and dinner on Day 1, as well as breakfast on Day 2. Water and snacks will be provided at various times.
*If you need something more substantial than light refreshments during check-in on Day 1, the Scrappy's Place (UC Cafeteria) will be open and accepts Visa and Mastercard credit or debit cards and cash.
What To Bring
- School Supply Item to exchange for a Chattanooga T-Shirt (see list of supplies needed)
- Confirmation Letter
- Comfortable clothes/shoes
- Linens and towelfor overnight stay (full sized)
- Toiletry items (shampoo, soap, toothbrush, toothpaste)
- Spending money for snacks
- Umbrella
