Parent and Family Orientation
UTC Orientation is a family experience and as such we offer programming for parents and family members! Whether you are a parent, guardian, significant other, etc. we recognize the important role you've played in helping get your student this far. We want to invite you to learn more about the University and the many resources and opportunities it provides and allow us to welcome you and your student to the UTC family!

Students have the ability to add parents and guest to their orientation reservation at any time by logging back in to their Orientation account online.

During Parent and Family Orientation you will...
- be welcomed by UTC administration and OLs
- be offered a campus tour/ housing tour
- learn about the many student resources offered at UTC
- have the opportunity to meet with Financial Aid, Housing, and other departments of interest
- attend student life sessions and MUCH MORE!
Meals
The Student and Parent/Guest fee provides light refreshments (during check-in) and dinner on Day 1, as well as breakfast and lunch on Day 2. Water and snacks will be provided at various times.
*If you need something more substantial than light refreshments during check-in on Day 1, the Scrappy's Place (UC Cafeteria) will be open and accepts Visa and Mastercard credit or debit cards and cash.

- Umbrella
Lodging
Overnight accomodations in residence halls are not provided for parents during Freshman orientation. Please refer to our list of hotels close to campus.
My Student Has Registered for Orientation, Now What?
Once registered, please help remind your student to log into their MyMocsNet account and check their UTC email often. If you have any questions or need assistance, please visit the FAQ section of our website or email orientation@utc.edu.
Accessibility
If you have a student with a disability (i.e., physical, learning, psychiatric, etc.) and think he/she might need assistance during Orientation, please contact the Office for Students with Disabilities at 423.425.4006 or go to the office at 102 Frist Hall.
