Online Orientation
Congratulations on your recent acceptance and welcome to the Chattanooga family! For students who are unable to attend UTC's New Student Orientation in person or who are joining us for a Summer term, we’ve prepared a special online orientation to help set the stage for a successful college career. This program is offered in a condensed, user friendly format and is designed to make you aware of the many different activities, offices, resources and opportunities the University has to offer.
How do I sign up for Online Orientation?
Students entering UTC who have an extenuating circumstance and are not able to attend an on campus program, must submit a request from their MyMocsNet email account to orientation@utc.edu in order to participate in Online Orientation. You must include the following information:

Students permitted to participate in Online Orientation will receive an email granting them access no sooner than the date of the first on-campus Orientation (June 4). Once the Online Orientation is complete, students will receive an active registration time ticket but must still schedule a meeting with their departmental advisor individually to receive their alternate PIN (advisement code). Students are advised by the department which offers their major or the Center for Advisement and Student Success if their major is Undecided (Pre-Major). Click here for a list of Academic Offices.
*Registration time tickets are updated on Wednesday of each week for students who have completed Online Orientation. (i.e. If you complete the module on Friday, your registration time ticket will not be activated until the following Wednesday).

Students Admitted for a Summer Term
There is no orientation requirement for students admitted for a summer term. However, if you would like to participate in Online Orientation or one of our Fall Transfer sessions as a way to familiarize yourself with the University, please send your request to orientation@utc.edu. You will still need to contact the department which offers your major to set up an advisement appointment and receive an Alternate PIN (advisement code) in order to register.
