There
are several types of overhead projectors available, including portable
projectors. The projectors also have a variety of brightness (lumens).
If you are presenting in a room that you can't darken, be sure to ask for
a bright overhead.

There are several systems to project data from computers, the Internet, or video from a VCR. If you plan on presenting from a computer, you will need to reserve a laptop from the Computing Help Desk. If you will need an Internet connection for your presentation, Media Resources will take care of that for you and set up all the equipment for your use once you pick up the laptop.
Here is the information we need to know:
Video Cassette Recorders (VCR's) with Monitors
Video
playback units generally consist of a 25" color monitor and a VCR (video
cassette player/recorder) on a roll cart. This set up is generally good
for classrooms of up to 50 people. VHS (1/2") units available only.

Slide projectors and slide trays are available. Please let us know if you will need a tray.
To place slides in a tray, we suggest that you first "dot" the slides. See the illustration below.
Then place the slides in the tray as illustrated below.

A
few VHS video cameras are available for your use. Please let us know if
you also need a tripod.

Most UTC classrooms already have screens mounted in the rooms. If the classroom you are using does not, be sure to request a screen at the same time you reserve other classroom audiovisual equipment.

Yes,
we still have a 16mm film projector for those of you who wish to show films
in your classes. Film projectors come with a take up reel.

Sound Systems (microphones, amplifiers, speakers, microphone stands)
Media Resources can provide your event with a sound system upon request. Please specify how many microphones you'll need and how big the crowd will be to provide you with the best sound system for your event. We also have wireless sound systems for special needs.

We have a couple of cassette players available for classroom use. Please let us know if you also need microphones for recording.
