Now in its 27th season, the UTC McKenzie Arena has hosted a wide variety of events - appearances of the Longhorn Championship Rodeo, Disney On Ice, WWE professional wrestling, Thunder National's Monster Trucks, Ringling Brothers and Barnum & Bailey Circus and the Southeastern Conference Women's Basketball Tournament (1993-97, 1999-2000). Our concert performers bring a diversity of their own, including Vince Gill, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Shania Twain, The Allman Brothers, Luther Vandross, Cher, Kenny Chesney, Rod Stewart, Reba McEntire, Chicago, Jimmy Buffett, Diana Ross, Carmen, Lionel Richie, Itzhak Perlman, Tina Turner and hundreds more! The Arena is also home to the UTC Mocs Basketball which is working toward a return visit to the NCAA Sweet 16 soon.


Located on the campus of The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga, the 12,000 seat multi-purpose facility is conveniently located at the junction of Tennessee, Georgia and Alabama. With the bustling cities of Atlanta, Birmingham, Huntsville, Nashville and Knoxville all less than 2.5 hours away, the Arena is within easy reach of 10 million plus people! If your visiting from out of town, the Chattanooga Area Convention & Visitors Bureau can be a great help.


An internet ticketing system with two community outlets offers tickets to events easy and convienient to purchase. And you you can always call 423-266-6627 to order tickets by phone. Just minutes away from three main interstate highways (I-24, I-59, and I-75) getting to the UTC McKenzie Arena is also easy. There's plenty of convenient parking and once inside, the main concourse has six permanent and five portable concession stands to satisfy your appetite. How do I get to the Arena?

The Arena is located at the corner of 4th and Mabel Streets on the campus of the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga. Take Highway 27 to the 4th Street exit (#1C). Proceed thru 7 traffic lights and you will see the Arena on your right. Turn right at the next light (Mabel Street) and a parking garage will be on your left.

Where do I park?

There are several pay lots surrounding the Arena, as well as a 500 car parking deck located across the street. If you do not want to pay to park, there is some street parking relatively close to the building, however, cars parked in No Parking Zones or otherwise parked illegally will be towed by city police at owner's expense.

Limited handicap parking is available at Lot #20 (next to Gate 2). Must display current handicap decal or license plate for admittance.

What about wheelchair access?

When purchasing your tickets, please tell the ticket agent that you will need handicap seating. There are limited handicap seats on the Arena concourse. Floor seats are available for most concerts. Only patrons with tickets noting these locations will be allowed access.

All restrooms are wheelchair accessible.

If you are in a wheelchair, or have difficulty walking steps, you will need to enter at Gate 2. Limited handicap parking is available in Lot #20 (adjacent to gate 2) for vehicles displaying handicap decals or plates.

What time do doors open?

Doors normally open one hour prior to the event.

Are cameras allowed?

In most instances, still cameras are allowed. Professional equipment, including zoom lenses and tripods, are prohibited. Video or recording equipment are also prohibited. Please call our Box Office (266-6627) regarding individual events.

Is there food at the Arena?

Yes! We typically have six permanent concession stands and several portable stands open during events. Food available includes hot dogs, pizza, nachos, popcorn, ice cream and candy. Coca-Cola products, as well as bottled water is also available for purchase. Outside food and beverages are not allowed in the building.

No! Because we are a state academic facility, we can not.

Baby-sitter tips?

Please be sure to let your baby-sitter know the seats (Section, Row, Seat) where you will be. In case of an emergency, they may call our Box Office (266-6627) and an usher will try to locate you.
