| Provides guidance for developing competitive grant proposals, including information on proposal sections, UTC budget policies and grant procedures/approval, links to additional proposal writing resources, and more. |
| Any university project or activity that involves human subjects in any way (i.e. surveying grant participants, conducting anonymous pre and post tests after teacher workshops, involving human subjects in research studies, etc.) MUST be reviewed and approved by the Institutional Review Board (IRB) at UTC. This requirement must be met regardless of the source of funding for the project or your plans to disseminate findings or outcomes. Even if you feel your project is EXEMPT from the IRB review requirements you MUST still submit project activity information to the IRB to be officially and legally certified as EXEMPT. Only the IRB can designate projects as exempt. |
