There are several agencies which have online information available about their grant programs. This information can include notices of new awards, lists of abstracts for previously funded proposals, grant writing tips, program guidelines, and contact persons. With this information you can get a view of the funding trends that these agencies have made and match their interests with your own. Some of the programs offer online applications. Please contact the Office of Grants and Program Review before applying to these programs.
Office staff will help to coordinate your proposal
with
others made from the university and will offer assistance in creating
the
strongest possible submission. The following is a list of agencies, by
subject area, with links to their web sites.
For more information about grant opportunities and the grants process, TRAM provides a number of useful links including those to: interactive forms for grant proposals; federal agencies and their regulations; solicitations, procurements, and program announcements; sample policies and agreements from various universities; and almost 250 university grants department web sites. TRAM also provides a search engine for funding opportunities which is updated daily. GrantsWeb, sponsored by the Society of Research Administrators, provides information on government resources, private funding resources, and general resources as well as policy information and circulars.
In addition, the Federal Government is funding a free e-mail service that automatically delivers targeted research and educational funding opportunities. To subscribe to the FEDIX Opportunity Alert system simply register at their web site and select the keywords that identify your specific areas of interest. Beginning with the next business day, a search of new federal opportunities will be conducted daily on your behalf and information that matches your area selections will be automatically e-mailed to you.
