Master of Education in Special Education
The Master's of Education concentrations in special education seek to provide breadth and depth to professionals holding an initial degree in special education. The program also provides options for those seeking initial licensure in special education from general education or unrelated fields. Additionally, the concentrations allow specialization in the following areas: mild disabilities; moderate/severe disabilities; early childhood special education; gifted education and emotional/behavioral disabilities. The program and department are accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools and the National Council for Accreditation in Teacher Education.
