Money Matters
With full-time in-state tuition under $6000 for an academic year, the University educates its students for life in a global society at a reasonable and affordable price. Review the cost of tuition and fees.
Return on your investment
In his study, “The Economic Impact and Return on Investment of UTC: What Tennessee Taxpayers Get for Their Money 2005-2006,” Dr. J.R. Clark, Scott L. Probasco, Jr. Chair of Free Enterprise at UTC's College of Business, found that UTC graduate students will earn as much as $1.41 million more than their college undergraduate counterpart during their earning years.
Covering the cost
Graduate education is an investment in your future. There are numerous ways you can manage the cost of your investment. Last year, UTC awarded more than $32 million in total financial aid. Degree seeking students enrolled in at least 6 semester hours may be eligible for Federal Stafford loans and Graduate PLUS loans.
Scholarships and assistantships are available by applying through the Graduate School. This year, $686,000 in graduate assistantships and scholarships have been awarded. The assistantships include a stipend and fee waiver. In an academic year, the total value of a full-time assistantship for in-state residents is $16,854 and $26,716 for out-of-state residents.
Many local employers provide educational assistance to their employees through tuition payment or reimbursement. Inquire with your employer as to the offering of this benefit.
Other programs assist out-of-state residents by waiving the out-of-state tuition. The links below will provide additional information about these programs.
