The Acting Company - America's most acclaimed touring repertory theater - returns to the UTC Fine Arts Center with what is perhaps Shakespeare’s greatest and certainly most recognized play – Romeo & Juliet.

The Acting Company, founded by the legendary John Houseman and current Producing Artistic Director Margot Harley in 1972 with Kevin Kline, Patti LuPone and others, produces plays that are regularly directed by the leading artists of the theater, with 131 classical and commissioned new works presented in New York and touring to 48 States and 10 foreign countries. Over forty of these productions have been full text presentations of Shakespeare's plays.

The rich variety of our plays, the high caliber of their presentation and the wide reach of their touring and educational activities continue to make The Acting Company's performances and workshops meaningful to thousands of Americans every year. 37 years of creating actors and honing the craft of touring theatre make this wonderful production of Romeo & Juliet a don’t miss performance for the 30 th Anniversary of the Patten Performances.
