  • How do I make sure my TEACH Grant does not become an Unsubsidized Direct Loan?
    • You must sign an Agreement to Serve.  More specifically you must agree to teach 4 of your first 8 years after graduation in a needy subject at a Title I school and be certified as Highly Qualified.  Please refer to the following websites for more information on these requirements.

  • Do I have to maintain a minimum GPA?
    • You must maintain a 3.25 cumulative GPA at all times unless you scored above the 75th percentile on a standardized admissions test (such as the ACT/SAT/GRE).  You must provide a copy of your test scores showing the percentile rank to the Financial Aid Office if you wish to use the admissions test score option.
  • What should I do if I receive a TEACH Grant and change my mind about teaching, cannot or will not be able to meet the requirements of my Federal Agreement to Serve?
    • You should contact the Financial Aid Office immediately to discuss the details of repayment of your TEACH Grant.
  • Where can I obtain more information about the TEACH Grant?
