UTC Annual Fund
Annual Giving is a proud tradition at The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga. Alumni and friends make yearly gifts to provide the base of support for a wide variety of programs benefiting UTC students and faculty.
Your contribution to the Annual Fund can benefit:
- Academic Scholarships
- Laboratory and Classroom Equipment
- Endowed Professorships
- Faculty and Staff Development
- The Library
- Research Initiatives
Donor Clubs and Recognition Levels
The UT system maintains a rather extensive group of donor recognition clubs and societies to extend appreciation and recognition to University and Annual Giving contributors who make gifts at above average levels.
Recognition clubs and societies that presently exist include:
- The Torchbearer Society
- Recognizes contributors (individuals and/or organizations) whose cumulative giving exceeds $10,000,000.
- The 1794 Society
- Recognizes contributors (individuals and/or organizations) whose cumulative giving exceeds $5,000,000.
- The Founders Society
- Recognizes contributors (individuals and/or organizations) whose cumulative giving exceeds $1,000,000.
- The Charles Dabney Society
- Recognizes contributors (individuals and/or organizations) whose cumulative giving exceeds $500,000.
- The Benefactors Society
- Recognizes contributors (individuals and/or organizations) whose cumulative giving exceeds $100,000 or pledges payable at $10,000 a year for 10 years.
- The Heritage Society
- Recognizes contributors (individuals and/or organizations) whose cumulative giving exceeds $50,000 or pledges payable at $5,000 a year for 10 years.
- The Tennessee Society
- Recognizes those who give or pledged as much as $25,000 to UT. The sum may be made as a single gift or pledged to be paid at the rate of $2,500 per year for 10 years.
- The President’s Club
- Recognizes annual gifts of $1,000 (individuals only).
- The University Circle
- Recognizes annual gifts of $500-$999 (individuals only).
- The Century Club
- Recognizes annual gifts of $100-$499 (individuals only)
Matching gifts
Some companies offer employees the incentive to give to worthy causes such as higher education by providing matching funds for contributions the employee makes. Such programs are welcomed at UTC and throughout the UT system. For more information, contact your Human Resources Department where you work.
