Scholarships

Scholarships at The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga are important to continuing a tradition of excellence in education. During the 2002-2003 academic year, the University awarded $1,634,367 in financial assistance from privately supported scholarships. In a student body of 7,138 undergraduate and graduate students, some 1,386 students received these scholarships. Scholarships at UTC are awarded to students on the basis of financial need and/or academic ability.

Commitment to Students

Working as partners with alumni, parents, friends and benefactors, our mission is to “serve as a national model of an engaged metropolitan university whose faculty, staff, and students, in collaboration with external partners, employ the intellectual resources of the liberal arts and professional programs to enrich the lives of those we serve.”

The benefits of philanthropy for education are innumerable. Donors who contribute to scholarships not only provide present help to students but leave a legacy of having made a difference in the lives of others.

To all donors, we wholeheartedly say: Thank You!
