How to maintain your partnership with the UTC Co-op Office

  1. Contact the Co-op Office whenever new openings come up, or when you have questions. Also, please inform the office when hiring decisions are made.
Stay in touch with the Co-op Office. As soon as you know of a future opening, let the office know so that the coordinator can start advertising it to seeking students. Prior to each semester, the office will send out an Employer Survey, but you can make a request at any time.
  2. Near the end of the student's work term, fill out an evaluation on each co-op or intern.
The Co-op Office will send evaluations out each semester. Sit down and share your ratings and comments with the student.
  3. If there is a problem or a change in a student's status, notify the Co-op Office.
Sometimes students let the office know and sometimes they don't.
  4. Help students set up work site visits.
Occasionally, a coordinator will ask the student to set up a work site visit to meet the student supervisor and have a tour of the student's work area and projects.
