Committee Structure
Academic Affairs and Student Development
Under the direction of the Provost and Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs and the Vice Chancellor for Student Development and Dean of Students, members are introduced to various projects related to academic policy matters, curriculum, academic support service and related educational concerns. Opportunities for strengthening university and community ties through instruction, research and public service activities are examined in conjunction with initiatives to claim the assets of technology, enhance the learning environment and maintain continuous assessment in order to drive institutional effectiveness. Opportunities for involving students in the community as well as programs, activities and issues related to student life and student services are discussed and reviewed by this committee. This includes furthering the system-wide and University commitment to student access and success while remaining committed to diversity and equal opportunity in recruiting and retaining University personnel and students.
Community Relations
Under the direction of the Vice Chancellor for University Advancement, activities and issues related to development, alumni affairs and public relations are discussed and reviewed. This committee seeks to ensure that programs are in place to further advance the university while promoting community outreach, improving potential partnerships locally and internationally, and supporting research and service learning while demonstrating accountability in economic development.
Long Range Planning
Under the direction of the immediate Past Chair of the Roundtable, this committee is responsible for the future of the Roundtable and develops strategies for its success and advancement. In addition it studies and evaluates the Roundtable’s purpose and goals, ultimately formulating recommendations for future improvement.
