The Chancellor's African American Advisory Council

Description

The Chancellor's African American Advisory Council serves as a "Think Tank" to assist the Chancellor in forging a strong relationship with the African American community.  The council is composed of representatives from the community as well as from UTC's African American faculty and staff.

The council members discuss issues and concerns of the African American community regarding UTC and suggest activities or programs that will enhance the relationship between the university and the community. The council is also responsible for providing the Chancellor and UTC with suggestions to improve the quality of knowledge about the programs and services offered to both prospective and current students.

During the council's meetings, members are updated on pertinent issues and programs in regards to the Unviersity and its efforts to continue the ensurance of success of its African American students.
