Distance education courses offered by UTC will:
- be equal in quality and rigor to offerings provided through traditionally taught courses
- be regularly assessed to afford quality assurance and enhancement
- support the mission of The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga as a state-supported institution of higher education
- make appropriate and effective use of available technology
- make appropriate and effective use of pedagogical techniques
- be a cost effective mechanism that supports student learning
