Sustainable Building Design
This building is built with energy star rated appliances that reduce energy costs. Also the the building is design with as much natural light as possible.
Some other sustainable building features are:
- Motion sensor water features in the restrooms such as sink fountains and toilets
- Motion sensor lights in all secondary areas such as offices, closest and storage rooms.
- Compact fluoresces in the hallways and exterior lighting.
Sustainable Building Practices
ARC Recycle program
The ARC Collects plastic water bottles, clean paper and aluminum cans to recycle. All this material is then collected by Orchard Knob recycling center. The recycle receptacles are provided by the GREEN FEE.
Environmentally Friendly Cleaning Solutions
The contract janitorial company - Commerical Building Services (CBS) uses only environmentally friendly cleaning solutions to clean the ARC. CBS practices miniuium waste techniques to reduce cleaning trash going to the landfills.
The excerise floor uses Clorox Brand Disinfecting Wipes to clean the excerise equipment after each use. These wipes are nessessary to up keep the sanititary environment of the building. Also, these wipe are biogradable.
EZ H20 to Go - Water bottle filling stations
EZH20 bottle filling station provides a rapid fill of filtered water to quench thirst and minimize plastic bottle waste in the environment. These filling stations are location on the First and Second floors.

This is the sticker we're hoping can save a couple hundred thousand trees a year. Amazing how the right message at the right time can make the difference. These are posted on all paper dispensers throughout the building.
