Monday - Thursday: 3pm to 8pm

Friday: 3pm to 6pm

Indoor 43' 7" high Rock Climbing Tower featuring the "Staley Knob" which includes 8 easy to moderate bolted routes.

Rock Climbing Programs

                   Rock Climbing shoes are availible to use.  Indoor boudlering packages (shoes, crash pads and chalk bags) are availible to rent through the UTC Outdoors To Go program.                                                                                      Belay clinics - Closed until further notice.

    Tower Rental- Contact the Outdoor Progam Coordinator for group climbing tower rentals. (only availible to UTC organizations)

Regulations

  • Climbing Area Rules

    • Participants climb at their own risk and are responsible for their own health and safety.
    • All climbers must check-in with Wall Supervisor.
    • Helmets must be worn while climbing.
    • Only climbing shoes or athletic shoes are permitted. Street shoes and bare feet are not allowed.
    • No loose or colored chalk is permitted. Do not use excessive amounts of chalk.
    • Climbers’ must use the correct rope and anchor for the route they are climbing.
    • Do not distract the Belayer while he/she is on duty.
    • Use proper belay commands between climber and Belayer.
    • Only those who have completed a UTC Belay Course may belay others.
    • Keep the base of the climbing wall free of gear and personal items.
    • Topping-out, standing or sitting on top of the wall is strictly prohibited.
    • Do not turn upside down while in a harness and on Belay.
    • Hair and clothing should be restrained.
    • All accidents, damaged equipment, loose holds, or safety concerns must be reported to the wall manager.
    • No food, drink, or gum in the climbing area.
    • Dangerous or unsafe behavior will result in suspension of climbing privileges.
