Custom Outdoor Trips

UTC Outdoors offers custom outdoor trips to the UTC Community. These trips are a great way for your organization to experience the outdoors and to get to know each other.

What we provide:

Experienced trip leaders provide logistical planning, instruction, leadership and facilitation for the group. Also, all the gear and equipment is provided. We can set goals for these trips to ensure that your organization's agenda is met. For example: can incorporate local history, outdoor skills and/or outdoor education is these trips.

What you provide:

Transportation, no car pooling, must be provided by UTC motor pool. Drivers of these vans must be on UTC's payroll and have driven these van before.

Caving

Location: Easy horizontal cave system.

Group size(min/max) : 10 to 15 people

What we provide: Helmets, Knee Pads and Headlights

Extreme Whitewater Tubing

Location: Hiwassee River (class I/II)

Availibility: June through September

Group size (min/max): 10 to 20 people

We provide: Tubes, helmets and personal floatation devices

Canoeing

Location Options: North Chickamuaga Creek (3 miles, 2-3 hours), Downtown River Front (1 mile, 2 hours), South Chickamauga Creek (2 miles, 2 1/2 hours)

Availibility: April through September

Group sizes (min/max): 10 to 20 people

We provide: Canoes, paddles, personal floatation devices
