Lifeguarding (Full Course)
-Offered by Campus Recreation
Price: $200
Location: ARC Pool
To enroll in this course you must be at least 15 years old by the last class of the course. To participate in the course you must be able to swim 300 yards continuously and retrieve a 10 pound weight from 10 feet of water, tread water for 2 minutes without arms or hands. Includes CPR/AED and First Aid. 2 year certification.

When: 5 courses available for Spring 2013
Course 1: March 2, 3, 9, 10
Class meets 8am - 5pm
Course 2: March 16, 17, 23, 24
Class meets 8am - 5pm
Course 3: April 6, 7, 13, 14
Class meets 8am - 5pm
Course 4: May 9, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15
Class meets 5pm - 9pm on weekdays & 8am - 5pm on weekends
Course 5: May 22, 24, 28, 30, 31
First Class meets 5pm - 9pm; May 24th - May 31st classess meet 10am - 6pm

Water Safety Instructor (WSI) Course
-Offered by Campus Recreation
Price: $225
Location: ARC pool
Instructor candidates will learn to teach infant, preschool swim lessons, and all 7 levels of the learn to swim program, as well as community water safety and first aid. Must be 16 years old and able to swim all strokes.
Limit is 10 participants

Lifeguarding Recertification (crossover to R.2012)
-Offered by Campus Recreation
Red Cross has updated the Lifeguarding program as of January 2012. This year UTC will be offering the crossover to the new lifeguarding course as a recertification course. Includes CPR/AED and First Aid. 2 year certification.
Price: $100
Location: ARC Pool
Must have current American Red Cross Lifeguarding Certification to participate.

1: April 27 8am - 5pm and April 28 12pm - 6pm
2: May 21 and May 23 10am - 4pm
