Mocs Camp Counselors and Mocs Camp Directors are all non-paid; volunteer positions. All positions require someone that is highly involved at UTC, highly energetic and willing to commit to Mocs Camp training, meetings and to the Mocs Camp weekends in the summer. Experience with student activity planning; detail oriented; excellent public relations skills; understands group dynamics in working with college students; ability to work with different cultures and wellingness to get "Really Dirty." All Mocs Camp counselors and Mocs Camp Directors report directly to the Mocs Camp Staff Coordinator(s). |
| Mocs Camp Head Color Group Counselor: This position will oversee all aspects of color group dynamics including recruitment, programming, and behavior and conduct mediation and resolution; participates in the planning and implementation of a comprehensive Mocs Camp program. Serves as a member of the MOCS Camp director staff and assists in providing a Mocs Camp environment in which participants can grow into positive, productive UTC students. Ensures that MOCS Camp standards of behavior are upheld, assists the participants in crisis situations and ensures that the Mocs Camp mission is accomplished. Qualifications: Prior Mocs Camp experience as a Counselor or Orientation Leader experience. |
| Mocs Camp Special Projects Counselor: Assists any and all Mocs Camp head counselors. Qualifications: 40+ hours completed, Junior status preferred or Orientation Leader experience. |
| Mocs Camp Director of Ceremony: This position will oversee all Ceremonial duties during Mocs Camp. Coordinating with the UTC Facilities and provided a well-planned opening, closing and chapel ceremony. Also serving as a a Mocs Camp Counselor. Qualifications: Prior Mocs Camp experience as a Counselor. |
| Mocs Camp Activities Director: This position will oversee all activities throughout Mocs Camp. Including: outdoor activities, banner painting, and rafting. Also serving as a a Mocs Camp Counselor. Qualifications: Prior Mocs Camp experience as a Counselor. |
| Mocs Camp Director of Hospitality: This position will oversee the Mocs Camp participant's hospitality. Coordinating with the Residence Life department for housing. Also serving as a a Mocs Camp Counselor. Qualifications: Prior Mocs Camp experience as a Counselor. |
| Mocs Camp Director of Recruitment: This position will oversee the marketing and advertisement for Mocs Camp. Coordinating with graphic services, mail services and orientation. Also serving as a a Mocs Camp Counselor. Qualifications: Prior Mocs Camp experience as a Counselor. |
| Mocs Camp Food and Beverage Director: This position will oversee all food and beverage consumed during Mocs Camp. Coordinating between UTC Food services and local restaurants. Also serving as a a Mocs Camp Counselor. Qualifications: Prior Mocs Camp experience as a Counselor. |
