The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga,
along with The University of Tennessee Health Science Center and
the University of Tennessee at Knoxville, is beginning
implementation of a new student information system.
Collegiate Project Services has been engaged to help us plan and
manage the implementation project, and SunGard is our software
vendor. We will implement the Banner student and financial
aid programs.
These efforts can help us to improve teaching,
learning, and the student experience at UTC by building a
services-oriented system that offers enhanced service and
reliability to our students, faculty and staff. This
system will allow us to compete more effectively for faculty and
students and to apply technology to better manage and operate
the University. We will be able to use on-demand access to
information and services to meet the needs of all, and offer new
services we are currently unable to
support. This project will require the
effort, ingenuity and commitment of a large number of groups
throughout the university, and it has my full support. I
urge you to participate with us in this important project in any
way you can.
