Areas of Interest
Listed below are some of our current programs. Please check your areas of interest:
1. Alumni Recruitment Council - Assisting the Office of Admissions in recruiting qualified high school students to UTC
	Call or write local high school students to congratulate them on being accepted to UTC
	Assist the Office of Admissions with College Fairs in your local area by representing UTC at the fair
	Mentoring Students on their path to success by allowing them to shadow you at work for a day, take them on a company tour, or provide internships
2. GOLD Council (GOLD = Grads Of the Last Decade) - Assist the Alumni Office with programming, communication and marketing to the alumni who have graduated from UTC in the last 10 years.
	Hosting a 3rd Thursday or GOLD social event
	Helping assist the Student Alumni Council with programs for The Future Alumni Members (UTC's student alumni association)
	Speaking at one of the SAC Real World 101 Senior Seminars (which cover topics important for graduates to know as they transition in the real world)
	Hosting an alumni table during Graduation Celebration
3. Homecoming Committee - Coordinates events in conjunction with the University's Homecoming weekend
	Thursday - Downtown Pep Rally
	Thursday - GOLD Alumni Tap Party
	Friday - Golf Tournament
	Saturday - Tailgating
4. Freshmen Activities
	Hosting a Senior Salute Picnic in your area for graduating high school seniors who will be attending UTC
	Parent Tours - Assist Student Development by leading campus tours for the parents of freshmen and transfer students
	Freshmen Convocation - Hosting parents and freshmen at a luncheon during Freshmen Convocation
5. Various Committees and Activities
	Reunion Committees assist the Alumni Office in planning, logistics, set up, and take down of reunion events
	Annual Tennis Tournament Committee assists in planning the annual Tennis Tournament which raises scholarship money
	Hosting Men's Basketball pre-game functions at home games in the Hall of Fame Room
	Hamilton County Chapter of the University of Tennessee Alumni Association
